MISSION:

The K.A.S.S.I.E.  Project is dedicated to serving as a healing initiative for all survivors of sexual and domestic abuse/violence who are striving towards and struggling with controlling how their past affects their journey into a healthy life after abuse.

VISION:

To build a community of survivors who support one another on their journey to a healthy ‘life after abuse’. A community assembled to provide a non-clinical and non- intimidating support network enabling each survivor to openly share their obstacles and desires without being subjected to ridicule or judgment. Encouraging survivors through education & emancipation, in an effort to eliminate generational abuse and create generational healing. The K.A.S.S.I.E. Project promotes healing through healthy healthy conversations and healing thru the arts in a safe, non-traditional environment where survivors can SHARE…HEAL…LIVE…

Encouraging & supporting all survivors to make the movement to

Share… Heal… Live….

We believe this to be the formula for leaving a traumatic past behind while moving into a healthy life after abuse.

how do we do this?

  • During sessions, survivors will be exposed to an opportunity to express themselves openly in a safe space without being subjected to judgment or ridicule.
  • During select sessions and unlike many other Domestic/Sexual Abuse awareness sessions, survivors will be presented with an opportunity to hear and understand the ‘re-formed abusers’ state of mind which will also assist in the healing process. (through video or writing).
  •  During our Share… Heal… Live …events, artists present dramatic, musical, poetic or other expressions of art focusing on the struggles of abuse and the challenges and situations survivors face.
  • Survivors will also be invited to share through the arts ( poetry, song or whatever creative outlet they use to heal) even if they just choose to simply speak on it.
  • We host a live television broadcast entitled K.A.S.S.I.E. Live offering viewers the opportunity to call in during the hour-long televised session.  Survivors come into the studio to share whichever portion of their journey they need to release themselves from to continue their journey to healing either artistically or healthy conversation.

It’s my belief that on the road to recovery there are necessary things every survivor must strive for and achieve:

Khrys Styles, Visionary

  • Stop Blaming Self – Take responsibility for current and future choices not the pains of your past.

  • Stop Isolating — Connect with other survivors to build a support network of your peers.

  • Stop denying and minimizing feelings – Learn to understand and express honestly in a healthy, supportive environment.
